CARPOOL REMINDERS

Our goal is to safely and effectively dismiss all of our students as quickly as possible. As adults, it is important that we set a good example for our students and be mindful of the procedures the school has put forth. Below is a reminder of how our dismissal is to work. Your child's safety is our priority.

MORNING

Children should be ready to get out of the car quickly and efficiently.

Children should exit the car on the right side only.

AFTERNOON

If you park your car:

If you park your car, your child will be considered a walker and will be released out of the door by the bike racks. You will need to go to the bike racks to pick up your child. Then you and your child will be escorted across the crosswalk by a staff member with a stop sign.

Parents should wait by the bike racks, not on the front porch, for their walkers.

The crosswalk closest to the front door is closed during drop off and dismissal. All people crossing into the parking lot should use the crosswalk nearest to the faculty parking lot.

Parking in the handicap spots is unlawful without proper handicap identification, and you can be ticketed.

If you drive through the carpool line:

Please print your last name in large black letters on a 8.5"x11" piece of white paper and display it by hanging it from your rearview mirror while you are in the carpool line until your child is in your car. If it is laying on the dashboard, the school staff may not be able to view it. If there are many families with your same last name, it is helpful to include a first name as well.

IT IS ILLEGAL TO USE A CELL PHONE OR TEXT WHILE IN THE SCHOOL ZONE.

THESE PROCEDURES ALLOW FOR A SAFE AND SPEEDY DISMISSAL.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.
